It is good to see that not
every one has taken this cease fire as a sure thing that the war
is over. I am taking a "wait and see" attitude.
Considering RUF previous
tactics the powers that be should not have allowed such free
movement after the cease fire because the RUF would also have
"free" movement for strategic redeployment of their
"troops". So for those who have the inside knowledge, I
ask:
Have all the road
checkpoints been lifted?
If so, I think It is a
mistake to deal with the RUF as "honourable men", as
Ceaser found out, honourable men sometimes turn around and stab
you in the back!
Also I see that some of the
commentators may be suffering from "selective amnesia"
Let us reveiw the facts (and
rumours).
- Before the coup (reshuffle):
- 1) It had been said that Strasser was not in full
control.
- 2) The second in command was calling most of the shots.
- So now Strasser is pushed aside and we welcome
change.. but wait a minuite I thought he was not in full
control in the first place. The previous second in
command is now first in command and he called the shots
when he was second in command. So.. has anything changed?
In a military regime does the cabinet really matter? So
what is all this joy about a cabinet reshuffle? It is the
same ship only the first mate is now captain, but the
first mate has been acting captain for a long time. It
may be that the captain was pushed aside because the
wantedto start commanding his ship again... Think about
it.....
