Cecil, Thanks for taking the debate on the military seriously. The reorganisation/restructuring of the military is going to be one of the major tasks Sierra Leoneans will have to confront after these elections. You raise some very important and useful points, which should allow others to get into the debate. I sincerely believe that through our collective efforts on several issues of post-war reconstruction, we should be able to lay the foundations for an orderly, stable and forward-looking Sierra Leone. I have been toying with a few ideas on the military which I would like to share with you and our Net community, but I have to meet terrible deadlines. Once I am done with them I will post my views on the Net.
I think PK should also join this debate, since he seems to have some inside knowledge about the RSLMF. His posting on the strength and structure of the military some time ago was very useful.
