Your last posting has finally made it clear to me why you seem to get so much of your analysis off the mark: you were never critical and careful enough to weigh the result of your "interviews" for as long as the information you got matched with your pre-conceived ideational anti-Alie model.
I saw everyone of those comrades off at the airport when they left for home. The only exceptions were Felix Sesay, and Amadu Swarray who was the last to complete his studies at Legon. Julaba even wrote me a letter later when he was in Conakry struggling to make it there. The content of that letter did not come from a
friend who, as you now allege, was not seeing me in Accra. Bo, lef dis imagined "factual" bizness. And if there was anyone among us who functioned as a kind of financial secretary, it was Khanja who studied economics at Legon. Samzo and I handled other aspects. If I-Rash is honest enough, he would confirm to you that I am too self-less a person to keep anyone in the dark about anything. My vulnerability comes from that tendency.
I left for Nigeria in April 1989 before Samzo did, meaning I was not the last person to exit. Samzo, if you don’t know from your bogus "interviews", had a family of his own. Julaba and Khanja left only five months or so before me. I saw Khanja off, and we discussed the possibility of establishing an independent means of livelihood in Freetown. I simply made a conscious decision to cut everyone off as far communication was concerned because I needed to refocus my mind without the distractions of old friends....
I did not mentioned anything about PAL, okay? My reference was to MOJA. I have a copy of Paul ichards’ article in West Africa. I do not mention anything about my writings in any publication, for it is not in my nature to clamour for personal attention. Please, get over the Paul Richards debate!! You took everything so personal as if you only expected a chorus from your "Amen Corner" on the net. I guess that’s why you went out of your way to launch a surface-to-air missile against my person this time. Anyway, I have better things to do with my time these days. Shouting with you on the net does not pay my bills in Chicago, Comrade Researcher.
Respectfully,
Sanjhan
